The biggest surprises in Hamlet to me are one, I like the story and did not think I would and two, I cannot beleive everyone died such a horrible death. Ironic how one barely mentioned character in the very begininng of the play ends up being the ruler forever to come. I think Horatio should have been king. Something interesting though, Horatio was never asked to be deceitful in any way to Hamlet. I wonder who he would have sided with, the King or his best friend? The language tends to grow on you. It's like a feeling of finding a treasure or winning a couple of dollars on a lottery ticket when you think you have just interpreted or translated someting within a sentence. After reading and re-reading a couple more times, you tend to get the hang of the lingo. Romeo and Juliet would have been fun to work on as well, oh what am I saying, that one is a tradgedy too.
